Basic Chicken Stock

It’s always good to have this on hand. Freeze unused portions for use at a later time.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 chicken
  • 2 carrots
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black cracked pepper

How to make it

  • Boil 2 & 1/2 quarts water in stock pot.
  • Add ingredients.
  • Let fester all day long on low heat, or a couple of hours at a minimum.
  • Strain solid material from stock.

This is a basic stock.  Variations are infinite.
